Third Trimester Chronic Issues:
Nausea, Heartburn and Back Pain during Pregnancy

I have been a patient at Middle Path for over 6 months and I can't say enough wonderful things about what these treatments have done for me. Prior to visiting Lisa I had been experiencing severe pain in my hand, particularly in my thumb. I had seen several doctors including a hand surgeon who diagnosed arthritis, gave me a cortisone shot, a hand splint and indicated that if that did not solve the problem surgery was the next step. This helped for awhile but soon the pain returned. It was difficult to perform simple tasks and typing was even becoming difficult. At the encouragement of a friend I decided to try alternative therapies prior to undergoing surgery.

Within a few treatments the pain in my hand was markedly improved. Where previously there were times I could barely move my hand I was now pain free for days at a time. As I continued treatments the pain eventually disappeared but even more importantly Lisa helped me to understand the triggers that caused the pain; stress, low energy and being overly tired. The combination of acupuncture treatments with understanding the causative agents has returned function to my hand, greatly improved my ability to complete daily tasks and has helped me identify when I am overextended. In addition the treatments have made me feel better all over and brought a more positive and relaxed feeling to my daily life.

I continue to see Lisa on a maintenance basis and have had no real hand pain for the past few months. I highly recommend her as her treatments have eliminated my severe pain, enhanced my ability to function and made me feel better emotionally and physically.
